EMFACE® is the first and only non - invasive anti-ageing treatment that is approved by the FDA. It combines high-intensity facial electrical stimulation (HIFES) with radiofrequency to improve facial muscle density and to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin.

How does EMFACE® work?

EMFACE® is based on the technologies used by EMSCULPT NEO®, but adapted for the face. EMFACE® combines :

• HIFES technology (High Intensity Facial Electrical Stimulation) to treat the muscles.
• Synchronised transcutaneous radio frequency (RF) energy to treat the skin.

HIFES technology encourages thousands of painless muscle contractions in the facial muscles in order to strengthen them. These are supramaximal contractions, meaning they cannot be achieved voluntarily. By stimulating specific facial muscles, EMFACE® will support the ligamentous structure of the face to improve tone and facial laxity.

RF energy heats the skin to activate fibroblasts and invigorate collagen by producing new elastin and collagen fibres.

Therefore, EMFACE® achieves a lifting effect, improves skin texture and smoothes lines and forehead wrinkles.

How does an EMFACE® session work?

Firstly, three EMFACE® applicators are placed on the forehead and cheeks.

Following this the treatment is ready to commence and lasts for 20 minutes.

During the treatment no discomfort is reported, while the sensation is comparable to that of a therapeutic facial massage. It is protocol that a client completes 4 to 6 sessions. Sessions are planned 5- 7 days apart over a period of 4 to 6 weeks.

For maintenance purposes it is encouraged to schedule further sessions for a later date.

Daily activities can be resumed immediately without a need for recovery time; there are no side effects to report.

Men are advised to shave their beard beforehand.

What are the results after an EMFACE® session?

Some results are visible immediately while others appear gradually. For example, we continue to see an improvement in skin texture 3 months after treatment.

Toning the forehead muscles reduces wrinkles and lifts the eyebrows creating a smoother appearance to the forehead.

The strengthening of the zygomatic muscles leads to a reduction in nasolabial folds and a reduction in the sagging of the corners of the mouth.

EMFACE^® redefines and refines the jaw line and corrects jowls. Cheeks are visibly higher and their volume is restored.

In short, the treatment improves skin sagging and smoothes fine lines and wrinkles for an overall rejuvenation of the face. Strengthening the muscles and producing new collagen will also reduce the effects of the skin's ageing process.
